Tokushima Station

From Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka: Take the Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen to Okayama, then switch to a rapid train bound for Takamatsu. From Takamatsu, both local and limited express trains operate and will get you to Tokushima.

Journey time from Osaka is about 2-3 hours.

There are several paid and free areas which give handy vantage points to watch the dancers. Many areas of the city are blocked off so that groups can dance freely. The best place to start your day in Tokushima is the station - from there, just follow the sounds of the drums!
